 Greetings from the Ecopod

Greetings from the Ecopod

ZENDOME says thank you – for the first postcard by visitors of the Scottish ecopod which was built by our Berlin office. Patrick Ulmer, managing director of the Berlin communication agency loveto, spent his holidays at the boutique retreat.

What was so special with this location compared to other accommodations? Have you ever spent your holidays in geodesic space before?

Patrick: We have never experienced anything like it! We had a few wonderful days at one of the most beautiful spots you can imagine. The spatial experience, the acoustics, the arrangements, the surrounding, the concept... everything is special. The remoteness and the view of Castle Stalker makes you believe that you are alone in the world. The Pod lets you feel connected to earth – a little like camping, just bigger. You sense the high quality and feel at home at the same time. Time looses its importance.

How did you like the concept, the combination of nature and style/ design?

Patrick: That really is unique. You have everything you need – and miss nearly nothing. You try to realise how the Pod integrates into the landscape. You think about the environment and using resources. You understand that high quality and ecological consciousness don´t have to be opposites. It all works together. The Ecopod proves this in a very special way and we hope that this idea is expanded consequently.

At which other location would you like an Ecopod?

Patrick: That is difficult to say. The Scottish Highlands were definitely great. Maybe in a desert oasis. Or in Africa. Or the Bergisches Land. You need unique landscapes and a far reaching view.

Would you recommend a trip to the Ecopod?

Patrick: Yes of course, definitely!!!
