Opening of the North Stream-Pipeline

The 70x100m ZENDOME.domescape formed like a gas molecule welcomed numerous heads of state and governments at the beginning of November 2011. At the centre of the molecule was the ZENDOME.500M surrounded by four ZENDOME.300M and a additional ZENDOME.75M.

Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Russian President Dmitrij Medwedew, the French Prime Minister François Fillon, the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and EU energy commissioner Günther Oettinger celebrated the opening of the North Stream Pipeline under the 12,5 m high cupola of the ZENDOME.500M in Lubmin.

Part of the festivities was a multi media show with a breathtaking 360° projection: over 500 high ranking representatives from politics, economy and media witnessed a three dimensional history of how the Baltic Pipeline, which will supply the EU with natural gas from Russia, came to be.

Ranging from the entire staging of the event to the mobile architecture by ZENDOME, the gas molecule as a symbol was at the centre of the overall creative motive for the event, which was realised by the agency Triad Berlin.
