The ZENDOME.30M is located at the centre of the theme gardens “Networked diversity – busy as a bee” at the National Garden Fair Koblenz 2011.

The honey bee is a very important connecting link in the domestic wildlife. Honey bees pollinate about 80% of the flowering plants within out latitude.
The bee derives its nutrition from nectar and pollen in nature. At the same time it pollinates the plants during her search for food. And this way it guarantees the continuity of plant life. (…)

On the long run, the honey bee cannot survive in the wild in Central Europe. The bee colonies mostly fall victim to diseases. In order to uphold biodiversity, bee-keeping plays an important role. Through pollinating, the bees do not only increase profits in agriculture but also preserve many plant species. At the same time pollinating is also the basis for the evolution of new species.” National Garden Show Koblenz 2011
