Weather - Humans - Climate
With an exciting educational exhibition experience the German Museum for Hygiene in Dresden at the moment is attracting not only guests who are under the weather. Under the title “The Weather, Humans and their Climate” this special exhibition tries to answer questions about the global climate change and also regards these from a natural, cultural, art and scientifically historical perspective.
How is weather created and what is its impact on our everyday lives? How is the climate changing and with it life? What can any individual do, what the politicians in order to reduce the Co² production? Visitors can explore this fascinating topic with the help of interactive elements, objects and personal essays.
In one of the four exhibition rooms you will find the ZENDOME. Shrimps in a closed biosphere, drawings of utopian space landscapes which are the result of a NASA workshop and other interesting things can be marvelled at in the geodesic dome.
The exhibition was realised with the help of several partners such as the German Weather Service, the environmental foundation WWF Germany and the Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology and can be visited until 19th April 2009.
